It\u2019s easy for you\u201d.\u00a0 Then I went out to the competition and I felt great. It kinda all came together.\u00a0 It was a lot of fun, I was with my teammates, it was my senior year. We were all having fun winning together.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>GymnasticsVille: In April at the Pacific Rim Championships, Team USA won team gold and you claimed the pommel horse title. Overall is was a good vibe the city hosted a good training camp.\u00a0 We met the mayor, we kinda felt like celebrities while we were there.\u00a0 We got a taste of their gymnastics world. Our team was locked in.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GymnasticsVille: Thoughts on the Doha World Cup, and winning the silver medal on high-bar.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Marvin Kimble:<\/strong> <em>\u201cOverall, I loved the venue. World Championships is gonna be there this year.\u00a0 It\u2019s super loud.\u00a0 Everyone is super nice.\u00a0 It was a tough competition.\u00a0 All the equipment is beautiful.\u00a0 \u00a0Doha is one of the most beautiful places that i\u2019ve been for a competition.\u00a0 It was a great experience.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GymnasticsVille: At the 2018 World Championships you made event finals on parallel bars and highbar. Can you talk about what mindset you were in?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Marvin Kimble:<\/strong><em> \u201cAround that time I was pretty locked in.\u00a0 I was in autopilot mode.\u00a0 It was an awesome experience because this was my first time competing at a world championships\u2026.I got to go out there and feel what the other guys felt.\u00a0 \u00a0I hit my routines.\u00a0 Now people know who is coming up, who to look for. I just wanted to get my name out there and show that I belong.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GymnasticsVille: How\u2019s Training going for U.S. Gymnastics Championships?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marvin Kimble:<\/strong><em> \u201cEverything was going pretty well and I was looking good up until last week.\u00a0 \u00a0I was on floor and I kinda pulled my hamstring.\u00a0 I had to call a doctor right away and get an MRI\u00a0that day.\u00a0 Right now i\u2019m not allowed to straddle.\u00a0 I can\u2019t do floor at all. <\/em><\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No vault.\u00a0 We are trying to decide if we should play it safe, get healthy, \u00a0and see what\u2019s next. Petition to either the national team or the world team selection camp.\u00a0 Just trying to weight our options out.\u00a0 \u00a0If I do compete at Championships it will just be four events. No floor, no vault and depending on what the doctor says.\u00a0 I feel like I can push through it, but I gotta listen to the doctor.\u00a0 This is tough for me to take because I don&#8217;t like missing competitions.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Listen to full show below.
