Midknight Robin host today’s show with Kerry Adderly. The University of Illinois-Chicago will drop women’s and men’s gymnastics at the end of the 2018-19 season, the school announced Friday. What does this mean for the rest of the NCAA men’s gymnastics programs?

As many of you know, I am an assistant coach of UIC Gymnastics. This will be my second season… and potentially my last. We received word yesterday that both the MENs and WOMENs programs will be cut at the end of this season. However, I’m not about to take this decision lying down. If Cal faced the same cuts years ago and survived, we can too. We need to make our voices heard as a community and rally around this historic program. NCAA Gymnastics is already in danger as it is, and we MUST not continue to let the dominoes fall! The UIC Athletic Director’s name is Garrett Klassy. His e-mail is gklassy@uic.edu. His office number is: 312-996-2695. You can also contact the UIC Chancellor, Michael Amiridis. His e-mail is chancellor@uic.edu and his office number is 312-413-3350. #saveuicgymnastics #saveuicgym

A post shared by Mike Wilner (@pikewilner) on
