Orlando, FL (May 17, 2017) – The 2017 Orlando Fringe Theatre Festival kicks off this week, including the return of the Kids Fringe Festival, and Passion PR is pleased to announce “Magic and Mayhem” and “GymnasticsVille” as featured artists. Kids Fringe is a special part of the Orlando Fringe Festival just for kids and families. It offers performances by Fringe artists and local arts organizations and hands-on activities. Kids Fringe is FREE to all participants and runs 10am–2pm both weekends of the festival (May 20-21, May 27-28). This year, Kids Fringers can enjoy the following special, FUN-tastic performances and workshops:

“Magic and Mayhem” featuring Magic and Mayhem Show and ChaChing the Bunny – Founder of the award-winning “Magic and Mayhem Show”, customizable “Magic and Mayhem Productions” and resident icFlorida “Magic on the Street” magician James Songster returns to the Orlando Fringe Festival with a special presentation for Kids Fringe sure to fuel children’s imagination and creativity. Saturday, May 20 @ 2pm-2:20pm (Kids Fringe Stage) – Magic and Mayhem provide a sneak preview of their upcoming summer library series “Worlds of Magic” for Kids Fringers.

Sunday, May 21 @ 11:30am-Noon (Workshop Stage) – Enjoy a lovable meet-and-greet with the famous ChaChing the Bunny and learn how ChaChing contributes to the beloved Magic and Mayhem Show.

Saturday, May 27 @ 1:30pm-2pm (Kids Fringe Stage) – Magic and Mayhem gives the world a magical hug performing their amazing magic, hilarious comedy and audience participation to delight everyone.

Sunday, May 28 @ 10am-10:30am (Workshop Stage) – Learn how to perform magic yourself with fun and interactive demonstrations as featured in icFlorida’s online web series “Magic on the Street” each month.

GymnasticsVille” featuring Orlando Metro Gymnastics – The new “Voice of Acrobatics” network for gymnasts, acrobats and fans of the sport join Kids Fringe with an all-star group of instructors: 2008 NCAA Champion and Orlando Metro Gymnastics Head Coach Ian Jackson and 2005 NCAA Champion and GymCrew Acro Consultant Mubarak Abdulllah-Simmons, for a series of interactive workshops. Saturday, May 20 @ 11am-11:30am (Workshop Stage) – “Body Activation” beginner workshop of aerobic exercise, flexibility and alignment. Discover the good habits that will make your cross training better.

Sunday, May 21 @ 1:30pm-2pm (Workshop Stage) – “Ground-Work” beginner workshop of balance, jumping, landing and rolling techniques. Learn the freestyle flow of acrobatics.

Saturday, May 27 @ 12:30pm-1pm (Workshop Stage) – Rise Kids “House of Acro Ninjas” introduction to a dojo within the RISE Universe featuring the Orlando Metro Gymnastics Boys Team. The House of Acro Ninja is melding of acrobatics, martial arts and performance. With the skills they acquire, the students of this house are preparing for the next level in their acrobatic journey.

Sunday, May 28 @ 11am-11:30am (Workshop Stage) – “Cartwheel” beginner workshop focusing drills and techniques necessary to learn a perfect wheel.Kids Fringe is located behind the Shakespeare Theatre next to the Orlando Fire Museum at 814 East Rollins Street, Orlando, FL 32803.
