The cast of Rise are eights months from their debut performance and the scripts readings are just beginning. Director Taqiy Abdullah-Simmons is working with one of the leads Nikolas Pelekai who is plays the role of Dexter. For Nikolas and most of the Rise cast this will be their first time acting in a live theater production. The work and preparation will be rigorous, Will Dexter be ready in time to put on the performance of a lifetime and earn a spot to the traveling circus?
